Brutal is new independent horror film written, directed, and produced by Michael Patrick Stevens starring A Michael Baldwin (Phantasm), in a role especially created for him, along with Marvella McPartlandJennifer WildeCamryn Molnar and Stevens himself as the namesake character, “Brutal”. The directorial debut for Stevens, Brutal has just begun to screen on the national film festival circuit and is starting to earn Best Film awards along with a reputation for being an indie that delivers like a studio film.

Brutal is a tight, psychological horror ride about what happens when a normal family man finds himself ensnared in the evil web of a madman. What would you do? How would you survive? And how would you escape, ultimately, if you can?’ — A. Michael Baldwin

Brutal was scored by renown composer Alan Howarth (Halloween film series, Bram Stoker’s DraculaGremlins, The MaskEscape from New York) and features cinematography by international cinematographer Gary Otte. Seemingly a straightforward torture film at first, its plotline carries audiences through a gratifying series of twist and turns possible due to its sound writing, appropriate practical effects, and remarkable performances.

I love that Brutal has several layers, that there is much more under the surface than expected. It’s dark and gritty. It’s well made. It… is very brutal!” — Independent Flicks
I am so in love with this film, I will sing its praises to whoever will listen.” — Twisted Central

Director Michael Patrick Stevens along with his cast and crew will be joining The Jimmy Star Show to discuss the making of the Brutal movie.
